Route One 'Fastplant' Capsule Collection
Route One are proud to introduce our latest capsule collection appropriately named Fastplant. Consisting of both classic long sleeve & short sleeve t-shirts, 5 panel caps and an 8” deck, this collection draws inspiration from not only an infamous and pretty great trick but also the world’s fastest growing grass plant, the Bamboo.
Taking inspiration from a variety of sources including Japanese tapestries, scrolls, old artworks and of course the Bamboo plant, ensures that these influences apply their curious natures to this collection both graphically and aesthetically, meaning that a message of growth and longevity is portrayed throughout each of the pieces. Something that Route One continues to embrace and promote.
With the roots of Bamboo stemming from Asia, Route One also saw an opportunity to showcase this collection in one of the most appropriate areas of the world, Japan, visiting some of the countries infamous and contrasting scenery from the bustling, high rise sky scrapers of Tokyo to the tranquil bamboo walkways of Kyoto.
Taking influence from our adventure a simple palette of natural tones can be seen throughout, highlighting the simple colours of dried bamboo in both our t-shirts and decks, leaving the maple ply of our deck clear of any dye ensuring an instantly recognisable natural look and feel.
