Before you start:
There are a few things you might want to think about before you start. Skateboards come in different sizes and are made of multiple elements that can also have different factors, but for now, let's just concentrate on the size of the skateboard deck. Sizing for skateboards is based on the measurement across the width of the deck in inches.
A basic guide to finding out what size is best for you:
Height 5’ and under: 7.75”- and smaller
Height 5’1 – 5’4: 7.75” – 8” Board
Height 5’5 – 5’8: 8” – 8.25” Board
Height 5’9 – 6’: 8.25” – 8.5” Board
Everyone's preferences are different, some prefer a bigger board so that it's easier to land your feet on the board after tricks, whereas others prefer a smaller board to flip things faster. If you're not sure, contact our customer support team and we can talk you through it.
Complete Skateboard or custom set up?
You have two main options when buying a skateboard; either a complete skateboard or building your own. Completes come set up with everything your need and are ready to roll straight from the box. If you're looking for something more specific, you can build your own skateboard by buying the deck, trucks, wheels, bearings and bolts separately. If you're after a specific deck, but not sure about everything else, we have a handy undercarriage kit that has everything else you need all in one box to get your set up quickly!
