R1 At The Big Takeover in LA
Late last year I received an invitation to attend a special launch event called "The Big Takeover" in Los Angeles, California.
The Big Takeover is the excellent second collaboration collection between FAMOUS STARS & STRAPS and REBEL8 and includes Mike Giant's signature artwork across a set of Hoodies, Crews, Jackets, Tees, Snapbacks and New Era Fitted.
To launch this special collection the FSAS family hosted an event at THE FAST LIFE in Hollywood to showcase the range.
Route One had an exclusive invitation as the only retailer worldwide invited to attend.
It all went down in the hot California winter sun where we enjoyed a live set from Cypress Hill, DJs, fish tacos, cold beers and a live art instillation from Rebel 8's own Mike Giant.
Guests included Travis Barker(Blink 182), Skinhead Rob (The Transplants), Tim Armstrong (Rancid), Joshy D & Mike Giant (Rebel 8), Felix Arguelles & Kurtis Colamonico (FMS Skate Team) amongst others.
After the Big Takeover event I was then driven up to the Hollywood Bowl as a guest for the final night of the Blink 182 tour.
