Bristol Store Manager

Are you experienced in retail management and are looking for an opportunity to expand your talents? About you:

You’re a hard-working individual with a can-do attitude who has strong experience in retail, especially with a young and trend-conscious customer base. You’ll pride yourself on managing and encouraging a team to do their best and are experienced in a target-driven environment. Ideally, you’ll have a strong interest in fashion, streetwear and skateboarding and are eager to build a rapport with our customers and your new team.

About the role:

As the manager of our busy Bristol store, you will be responsible for:

  • Delivering unbeatable customer service
  • Driving sales to meet targets
  • Managing and motivating your in-store team
  • Organising and planning rotas whilst controlling staff costs
  • Recruiting and training staff
  • Cashing up and banking
  • Store merchandising and brand presentation
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation
  • Maintaining your store’s social media presence
  • Communicating and liaising with other stores and head office

Please note, Skateboard and Streetwear knowledge is essential.

You will need to work a 40 hour week (including weekends).

Junior Photographer / Studio Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Photographer/Photography Studio Assistant to join our team.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest in photography to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in a professional studio setting. The successful candidate will have the chance to work alongside experienced photographers and contribute to various aspects of studio operations.

What is the Role?
This role primarily focuses on product management and studio maintenance, including picking and steaming items for product photography, photoshoots and marketing purposes. During peak periods, the role will also involve assisting with photography tasks to support our online and marketing efforts.
Responsibilities:

  • Photographing product using in house equipment at pace and a high standard.
  • Assist Lead Photographers
  • Pick and steam product
  • Collaborate with senior photographers during photoshoots
  • Assisting with equipment setup, lighting arrangements, and other tasks as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the studio space, ensuring all equipment is properly stored and in working order.

Skills:

  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Previous experience in retail, inventory management, or photography preferred.
  • Basic photography skills and familiarity with photography equipment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Lightroom, etc.) is a plus
  • Passion for skate culture and knowledge of skate fashion trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Job Requirements:
• Full Uk Drivers License
• Experience using Adobe Photoshop / Lightroom (Capture One and Premier Pro would be an advantage)
• Knowledge of photographic/studio equipment.
• Own portfolio desirable but not essential.

Buying and Merchandising Assistant

The Trading team require an assistant, who will report to the Head of Merchandising and work closely with the senior buyers, assisting across clothing, footwear, accessories, and skateboard.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to work within a closely knit Merchandising and Buying team.

You will learn the art and science behind the buy and develop key merchandising skills.

You'll be working within a highly dynamic and creative company, which has thrived within the fast-paced retail sector.

This role is office based, at our Head office near Bristol.

Key responsibilities include:

    Assisting the Senior Buyers with the trading of departments
    • Assisting with range planning & product selection
    • Assisting with compiling orders
    • General trading team administration including re-ordering.
    • Communicating with suppliers
      Assisting the Head of Merchandising
      • Accurate Reporting & Analysis of sales/profit/margin & stock
      • Sales and Stock forecasting
      • Assisting with Intake & stock Management
      • Uploading Purchase orders
      • Allocation of stock to stores
        Essential skills/experience:
        • Advanced Excel skills
        • Computer literacy & ability to learn new systems
        • High level of attention to detail
        • GSCE Maths (A-C)
        • Team Orientated / Strong communication skills
        • Ability to Multi-Task and Prioritise a busy workload

          Purchase Ledger Assistant

          We currently have exciting opportunity to join our Finance team on part-time basis to assist with day-to-day running of Purchase ledger and general bookkeeping admin.

          Key Duties:

          • Log and code all invoices/credit notes and post to Sage 200 accounting system.
          • Run weekly payment run for all due payments, making sure all discounted invoices are paid within the correct time period.
          • Reconcile all supplier statements.
          • Match supplier receipts to invoices and report any price, stock or quantity discrepancies to relevant buyer or direct to supplier.
          • Chase up any credits or any unresolved queries.
          • Answer any queries from supplies.
          • Manage spreadsheets for month end stock reconcile purposes.
          • Any ad hoc reports and accounts admin needed.

          Essential Skills:

          • MS Excel knowledge
          • Excellent attention to detail
          • Ability to multi-task and prioritise a busy workload
          • Good analytical, problem solving and communication skills

          Customer Service Adviser

          Street fashion, footwear and skate culture is thriving and Route One has been leading the street / skate scene for over 30 years, serving up an eclectic mix of street brands (Nike SB, Adidas, Vans, Thrasher etc.), from our award-winning web store and 8 regional hubs. As a result, we’re now looking for Customer Service Advisor to join the Customer Service team, to help drive the business forward and capitalise on our market leading position.

          Key Duties:
          • Dealing with customer service requests across all our platforms including telephone, email, and live chat.
          • Resolving customer complaints.
          • Providing support to our 8 high street stores.
          • Processing customer returns and faulty goods.
          • Maintenance of the customer database and keeping records of customer interactions and transactions.
          • Manage a wide range of administrative duties.
          • Provide feedback on the efficiency of the customer service process.
          • Communicating and coordinating with other internal departments.
          Essential Skills:
          • Computer Literacy – including use of Word/Excel.

          Warehouse Operative

          We currently have opportunities to join our Warehouse Team in our Head Office & Warehouse Base in South Gloucestershire. Below are a General Guide of what the role entails, the list is not exhaustive:-

                  • Assisting with the unloading of Goods Inward
                  • Checking Deliveries in against Purchase Orders
                  • Stickering and Locating Deliveries when required
                  • Fast and Accurate Picking Customer Orders using Scanners and Warehouse Management Software
                  • Accurate packing of Customer Orders
                  • Stock Checking and Location Checks
                  • General Warehouse Duties – i.e Cleaning and Recovery
