Three Gonz Spots
Steering clear of his insta page (trust us, some things are better left ignored), there's no denying the full blown nerd acumen of skate historian and video part connoisseur Bobby Puleo, as any listener to his Nine Club interview will testify.
Out in Costa Mesa for an industry shindig, Bobby ventures to three classic Gonz spots for no other reason that to tourist the hell out of them. Spurred on by a chance meeting with Vans' Jamie Hart (and subsequently provided with directions), we're treated to Bobby's pilgrimage to a no-longer-in-existence sidewalk bump that graced the cover of Poweredge magazine, the infamous 'Hell Curb' and a pavement outside the Pegasus School, as seen in video days (caveat: whilst completely innocent, in retrospect there's no denying it looks kinda dodgy, as a 40 odd year old bloke taking pictures for no good reason will do!).
Now whilst we might not have sold it that well explaining the premise, the video is actually really interesting and it's great to see Bobby cross referencing angles and cracks in the floor to work out exactly where the tricks occurred; this is proper skate geekery done purely for the love!
