This Old Ledge: Brooklyn Banks
'This Old Ledge,' Thrasher's highbrow look at at the architectural and cultural significance of skateboarding's most famous spots is back for a new series and the latest episode is a doozy!
Hosted as always by the irrepressible Ted Barrow (eagle-eyed Instagram aficionados will remember him as the polemic Feedback Ted), this is a no-holds-barred deep dive into the spot, its construction and the iconic tricks performed on it hallowed bricks.
Skateboarding has a rich history, both in terms of the act itself (and the surroundings in which we perform it) and the way we celebrate our self importance. From On Video to Epically Later'd, Love Letters to This Old Ledge, we hold our champions in high regard and find no shame in lovingly crafting the most detailed retrospectives.
Listen to Ted and then search out the back catalogue, there's much to be learned and even more to be enjoyed!
