Taiwan
Chris Mulhern, arguably the greatest cinematographic talent in skateboarding right now, once again produces the most beautiful of goods in this breathtakingly shot five minute film, appropriately entitled 'Taiwan.'
Essentially off-cuts from a 2016 adidas 'Away Days' filming trip, featuring the undeniable skills of Rodrigo TX, Dennis Busenitz, Nestor Judkins, Silas Baxter-Neal and Dennis Durrant, this video illustrates what can be achieved when the correct equipment sits in the right hands and the eye for a shot is allowed to run free. Delightfully divine B-roll coupled with the most on point action filming, equates to a result the biggest names in film and television would proudly call their own.
That's not taking anything away from the skateboarding; indeed there is a level of skate stuntery that will easily satisfy the demands of the most footage hungry youth. Let's be fair, with a crew like that you'd be hard pushed to achieve a poor result! It's just the camera wielding artistry is of such a level it rises above the simple documentation of the tricks therein, and to us that's something we feel worthy of deserving our appreciation!
