SOLO: Grain
As long as there has been Skateboard media there have been diverse opinions regarding the format in which our beloved pastime should be broadcast. From the Hellride of Thrasher to the family friendly Transworld, no matter how you prefer your skate musings to be drafted there has traditionally been an offer for you.
Germany's SOLO is very much a thinking skater's periodical. Offering quality content for the slightly older and intellectually inclined skateboarder, you're not likely to see a Tail Devil advert adorning the back of the mag but you will find interviews with Ukranian skaters describing their current reality on the website's homepage. That's how the boys at SOLO roll.
So when they get behind a clip, like they have Frederick Schneider's Grain, you know there is quality content forthcoming. Filmed over two years and featuring Frederick's friends as they travel all over Germany, this is a beautiful showcase of a scene (and a whole load of skaters) you likely knew very little about. This is one to savour!
