Self Storage: Neil MacDonald
Neil Macdonald is many things to many different people. To some he's the brains behind Sidewalk Magazine's impressive musical interview back catalogue, to others he's the assertive and highly opinionated Uk Skate Forum moderator and Palace obsessive 'Buildafire.' To most however he's the man responsible for the utterly brilliant Instagram skate archive page 'Scienceversuslife' and it's because of his penchant for scanning old mags 'The Skateboarder's Companion' called him up to be their inaugural interviewee in the new series 'Self Storage.'
Born and raised in Glasgow, Neil will be the first to admit he was never sponsorship material. But, as everyone knows, you only have to be good enough to enjoy it and Neils passion for enjoying it has carried him through more than three decades on a board and provided him with a whole host of memories and memorabilia.
Discussing some of his favourite knick-knacks from the past thirty years, Neil delves into the archives to showcase 90's Carl Shipman tees, numerous copies of Phat Magazine and an overwhelming amount of James Jarvis merchandise. You think you've got a thing for hoarding? You ain't seen nothing yet!
