Route One Easter Jam - Supported By Adidas Skateboarding
This Easter Sunday we decided to give the parents of Bristol and surrounding areas a bit of a break from their offspring going uncontrollably hyperactive from egg shaped chocolates by holding a traditional free skate event but with a bit of a twist...
With huge support from adidas skateboarding we managed to keep the Campus Pool free and open for skateboarders to go hell for leather through a 6 hour session.
The day kicked off with a mass of humans rightly barraging through the front doors in order to receive their free pair of adidas match court mid skate shoes, which were up for grabs in our local Route One store in Cabot Circus, Bristol. All that was required to bag yourself a pair was to head in to the store and sign up... Simple yet effective.
So those lucky enough to get in there headed up to Campus, stuck on their new pair of crepes and proceeded into the park. All hyped up they started with laps around the park and those keen enough straight in for the hardest tricks first thing.
Mid way into the session and as promised, 20 pizzas were delegated to the starving skaters who had been killing it since their arrival. However they didn't hesitate to get straight back into the mix as the prizes for tricks jam was to start soon after devouring excessive amounts of pizza and soft drinks...Although this had no effect on the keen ones willing to go ham for free product including more free shoes, clothing and hardware to those who earned it...
Check the recap edit below and get yourself to the Pool to try it for yourself.
Big thanks once again to adidas skateboarding for helping provide a rad day!
