R1 Present Supra In Edinburgh
On Tuesday 7th June Route One spent a memorable day with the SUPRA team who had just touched down in Edinburgh, Scotland as part of a blink-and-you'll-miss-it European tour.
Route One and Focus hosted a demo at the awesome Saughton Skate Park for a huge crowd of hungry locals stoked to see a rare visit from such legends as Muska, TK and Lizard King.
Of course after a month of Mediterranean sunshine the heavens opened and after a short sesh it absolutely chucked it down - typical!
Undeterred, by extreme Scottish weather conditions, the one-man-hype-machine known as The Mu$ka was having none of it and carried on tearing up the park to a background of heavy thunder and lightling storms.
After the rain became so heavy (it would have been easier to surf than skate!) and he had signed just about every kids shirt/deck/cap/etc Muska rallied his troops to the local boozer for some kick-back time.
After a few hours, a few pints & some banter with the locals the sun broke through the clouds and we were all straight back out in the park.
Although most of the drenched crowd had resigned themselves to a summer of pneumonia and headed for home, the lucky die-hards who stayed on were treated to a sick display of skating from an in-form team obviously in high spirits.
The vibe was both relaxed & friendly feeling more like a casual session than an organised demo, just what you'd expect from a band of misfits like the Supra team.
Check out our first video from the day and stay tuned as we had exclusive access to the whole team and caught up with each skater for a series of R1 interviews coming soon on R1TV.
