NBD Into The Car Wash Bank?
Whilst we'll be the first to admit we're not fans of the click bait titling and the sensationalistic slant the Berrics has taken with this latest instalment of their 'Process' series, you can't deny that anything into the Sunset Car Wash is big news in the skate world.
Found by Gonz way decades before you were born (allegedly 1986 if Phelps is to be believed) and first tamed by Cardiel via an early grab in 1998, before Greco famously ollied into it at 6am five years later, it has to be the ultimate LA skate tourist attraction. Many have visited but few have ever tried and even fewer have walked away to tell the tale. Remember, it took another 15 years after the ollie before Milton Martinez managed to succeed (where Dollin had valiantly failed) and ride away from a kick flip.
With that in mind we ignored our better judgement and succumbed to the attention-grabbing video title. And though it's fair to say the "NBD" in question isn't quite up there with Milton's kickflip or Alex Midler's recent backside three, you really can't fault the Gavin Kish's commitment to his art - his dad drove him 12h to get the trick and the pure, joyous emotion on his ride away is enough to bring stoke to even the coldest heart!
