Mike York Gracias Skateboarding
EMB local, OG FTC rider and former Chocolate pro Mike York is a bona fide legend; mere mention of his name can set skaters of a certain age all a quiver and any footage he releases is always warmly welcomed.
After parting ways with the Crailtap family, the debacle with whatever it was Blueprint became after Shier and the boys left and then his own deal with ‘Turf’ turning sour, we have to say it’s fantastic to see Mike ignoring all the politics and simply getting back to what he does best.
If you don’t know what that is then you really need to educate yourself with a bit of Mike York: The original hype man and chattiest guy in skateboarding still knows how to drop a ledge hammer and cruise lines in the steeziest of ways and this near five minute clip will psych you up whether you’re 8 or 38 – click play now, the last trick is simply fantastic.
