Luka Pinto: The Lost Part
DVS’ Luka Pinto may well have come into your radar with the release of the highly acclaimed ‘11th Hour’ by Jacob Harris but the privilege of the opening section was certainly not the first time the young man from Jersey has had his skateboarding talents captured on film.
This section, which is only just seeing the light of day, was filmed in ’07-‘09 and was part of Dylan Powell’s Jersey scene video ‘The Only Reason’. Originally deemed too long to fit in to the premiere version of the video, this eight minute section has since been locked away in the virtual prison of an old hard drive, only now being released into the public domain.
Featuring a multitude of “unseen” spots and set to a bit of classic Roots Manuva; this is the kind of action that British scene videos have been excelling at for years – genuinely good yet achievable skateboarding presented in a format that’ll make you want to pick up the camera and get out with your mates.
