Lucy Adams has been a stalwart of the British skate scene longer than most skaters reading this have been alive. Pushing women's skateboarding at a time when the national scene barely broke into double figures, Lucy was a trailblazer not through some sense of diversity quota responsibility but simply because she absolutely loves skateboarding.
That's not to say she hasn't broken down barriers; alongside the likes of Sam Bruce, Lois Pendlebury and Jenna Selby, Lucy's passion for skateboarding built on the foundations laid by Sue Hazel and helped to make the British female scene the international force it is today.
Celebrating her 40th birthday with a guest board on the Forty Skateboard Co, Lucy takes a break from the trials and tribulations of commentating for the BBC (and the day job over at Skateboard GB) to knock out 40 tricks to honour the anniversary of her birth. Safe to say, the lass has very much still got it!
