If Louie Lopez manages to Busenitz it and somehow go his entire career without being crowned Thrasher SOTY then there really is no justice in the world. From the long-haired flying foetus of those early Flip days to his long-limbed, perma-smiley 'total annihilation of every spot in front of him' man we know and love today, Louie has always been one of the very best.
Starting his claim for the ultimate skateboarding accolade in August may seem a tad premature but Converse ripper Louie is in the form of his life right now and we can only hope that there's much more to come during the second half of this year.
Of course, if this is all we get from him in 2022 that's enough; this Spitfire part, filmed entirely on the campus of the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, clocks in at nearly four minutes long and is chock-a-block with legit hammers. We just get the inkling the lad from LA has a little more than this up his sleeve, if you catch our drift...
