Keen Ramps: We Built a Deathmatch Ramp for Thrasher
Bit out of left field this; Thrasher content that's not actually from Thrasher but the construction team behind the build. It certainly gives an eye-opening perspective, highlighting the realities of the pop-up facilities big brands use for these kinds of standalone events!
Taking place last Saturday in association with Converse Cons, the boys at Thrasher delved deep into the rolodex to invite the great and the good to Pioneertown, CA for the latest incarnation of their amazing annual Deathmatch event. Making sure the attendant skateboarders had the most ridiculous bowl set up to shred, the boys at Keen Ramps were called in and the video below chronicles the build (as well as a lot of skating).
Manufacturing a six-foot high, 30ft wide mini ramp in the high desert of San Bernadino County is no mean feat at the best of times, including the death pocket (courtesy of the madness of T-ed Michael Burnett) only added to the insanity. Having seen the finished product, we can't wait for the official vid from Thrasher to drop!
