15 years and 1500 iterations later, the classic is back: closer to Stefan’s original vision than ever before, Nike SB present the Janoski OG+.
Reflecting the relentless fluctuations of the wider fashion world, the footwear industry’s skateboarding sector reciprocates contemporary demands.
With less than a century of history, skateboarding has experienced rapid evolution since surfers first dragged themselves from the waters and went landside; tricks and trends dictated the functional footwear of the moment, and as skaters began to tackle increasingly more imposing obstacles, they demanded more imposing footwear to compensate, transitioning from the slimline vulcanised models popularised in the 60s and 70s towards basketball-inspired cupsole models.
In an effort to catalyse on board progression, shoe companies began overloading their shoes with the latest innovations, often forgoing aesthetic appeal in favour of the footwear flavour of the month.

15 years and 1500 iterations later, the classic is back: closer to Stefan’s original vision than ever before, Nike SB present the Janoski OG+.
Taking all they’ve learned since 2009, the OG+ features design refinements from the “remastered” version whilst retaining the iconic, structured look of the formative silhouette.
Arriving with a modern drop in footbed alongside the classic cork (both Zoom Air) and an alternate set of laces to the leather of the original, the Janoski OG+ allows you to tweak the shoe to your preference, just the way you remember it.
