Clive Dixon 'Prine'

May 2021 by Route One

The latest in Clive Dixon's music inspired video creations 'Prine' is up online, a mere 12 months since his seminal 'Creep' part hit the airwaves, and it's every bit as face meltingly gnarly as we've come to expect from the Cocoa Beach, Florida mad man!

And though he may not have been able to get the rights for the original 'In Spite Of Ourselves' (instead settling for the recently released Viagraboys cover), Clive offers a tip of the hat to the late grammy award winning songsmith by naming the part in his honour. Now we're not sure what John Prine would have made of bigspin lipslides on the Hollywood 12 but we're pretty confident he'd be stoked the Birdhouse pro is sharing his legacy with a whole new generation of music lovers.

And it's safe to say Clive does the folk legend justice; famed for his ballsy approach, he not only steps up his noseblunt game beyond the Staples centre behemoth we saw in Creep but he adds some seriously unexpected rail combo tech into the mix too. Clive is not slowing down and at this rate we're fearful of what he might try and grind to end his next part in a year or two's time!
