Chocolate Skateboards Epically Later’d
As Chocolate skateboards celebrate their twentieth anniversary we’re going to be inundated with all things chocolaty as various industry players tip a nod of the hat to this fantastic milestone (the Green Label Andy Jenkins interview we linked a couple of weeks back being a perfect case in point).
Top of the pile though is surely to be Patrick O’Dell’s Epically Later’d series focusing four feature length episodes on the brand and its history over the past two decades. Part one is out now (and available to view below) with three further instalments still to come.
Told through the eyes of Jerry Hsu, Chocolate’s latest pro, this really is as in-depth a history lesson as you are likely to see. Lovingly crafted with archive footage from everyone from Mike York to Keenan Milton, Gino Iannucci to Raven Tershey – this is as close to compulsory viewing as you are ever likely to get in skateboarding and we’re lapping it up with fervour. Bring on part two!
