Cata Diaz 'Cachai'
Cata Diaz, Chilean native turned Macba local (and bonafide Instagram superstar), drops her first full length part through the consistently excellent Pocket Mag and it's everything we hoped it would be and more.
Which in itself, if you read the accompanying interview, is no small feat, given the absolutely horrendous time Cata has experienced over the past 12 months. Opening up about her battle with chemotherapy and subsequent depression, Ms Diaz lays it on the line to show people not only the reality behind the seemingly perfect social media life but also the immense value of talking through problems with friends.
And talking with friends has no doubt helped facilitate the can-do attitude necessary to push herself into creating a part this good; you don't get half a million skateboarders following you if you don't have the skills to back it all up!
