A Hidden Path

Aug 2022 by Route One

First off, this isn't your typical 'skate video' so we suggest you don't go in to watching it with the expectation of hell ride style hill bombs or after black ender-enders. This is more of a documentary of sorts, though that's not exactly a fair description, rather it's a celebration of the passion of a group of friends from Vermont who made skateboarding magic happen through nothing more than love and their own hard graft.

Filmed almost exclusively on Super-8, Nick Stefani celebrates the dedication of his crew and recounts the project in his own words below:

"In 2012, I began driving out on weekends to work on a personal project deep in the woods of northern Vermont, close to the Canadian border.

The first 2 years I built a manicured walking path up the hillside with 100+ split log stairs. The next 3 years, the boys and I hiked all the lumber and materials up the hill and built a skate ramp perched on the overlook.

This project has always had a strict no social media policy. However, facing the current and inevitable breakdown of ramp, stairs, and body, a preservation and share was justified."
