For Cop’s Sake! OPENS TODAY in Glasgow
Following the amazing launch party last night, Route One and re:ply skateboards proudly announce the official opening of For Cop’s Sake! Art Show x Climate Action.
Over the next two weeks, For Cop’s Sake! will be showcasing the phenomenal artwork donated by skateboarders and street artists from around the world. We’ve been blown away by the generosity of the community and the quality of the works received, and of course what they say about the Climate Emergency!
Richard Boissevain from Route One opened the show, saying For Cop’s Sake’s aim was to raise awareness about the humanitarian impact of climate change and to support the EJF's vital work.
Steve Trent, CEO of the EJF, offered hope to young people, encouraging them to use their voice, wallets and vote to demand Climate Action now from world leaders sitting a mile away in Glasgow’s city centre. Specifically we need to target the 100 companies responsible for 71% of global emissions!
The introductions were followed by a short film from the EJF called “Walled Off”, which highlights the plight of those displaced by the climate crisis in Bangladesh. EJF’s films are a central part of the show and will be shown throughout COP26.
There will also be a live Q&A session on Monday 8th November, and the show closes after the Online Auction, kindly hosted by Forum Auctions, who have agreed to waive their commission in aid of the EJF charity.
The Auction is live now at Forum Auction, with final bids taken at 6pm on 12th November. If you can’t make it to the store visit Forum Auctions to view all the decks and register to bid!
